What can I say, these are light bulbs. :-)
The benefit is the convenience of the purchase. We have had outdoor light fixtures for about two years that require this bulb. It is always a hassle to find them since the local discount stores don't carry them and I had to always make a special trip to the specialty hardware store.
I now have 15 of them, didn't have to leave home to get them and the supply will probably last me for several years. The convenience along with the competitive price make this purchase a real winner in my book.
Chandelabra Bulbs are not easy to find in my area; when I did find them at a local store they were only 40 watts and ridiculously expensive. On Amazon, I was able to purchase exactly what I wanted; 60 watt Chandelabra bulbs at a reasonable price.
